The Shirley project team will provide design and construction of roadways, pier protection on existing structures, and soundwalls. Surveys, environmental and geotechnical coordination, hydraulics, traffic control devices, a transportation management plan, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations and coordination, public involvement / relations, quality assurance and quality control, variable speed limit sign adjustments, construction engineering and inspection and overall project management services will also be required.
The overall goal of the project is to reduce congestion, improve capacity and safety, and to improve drainage facilities within the project limits.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2025 with Final Completion anticipated in September 2027.
